BASEC’s Dubai lab offers a full range of testing services for LV & MV Cables. It includes testing for Power and Control Cables, Single Core Wires, Flexible Cables, Panel Wires/Tri-rated Cables, and other Special Cables. The lab has all testing facilities for electrical and mechanical testing, material and chemical testing. It also has special test facilities including HCL gas emission test, pH & conductivity test for LSZH cables. BASEC’s Dubai Lab is the first and the only laboratory dedicated to LV Cables in the MENA region for full type testing as per various International & National Standards. The MV lab at BASEC Dubai has full capability to carry out complete type tests including sequential electrical tests for cables up to 42 kV.
BASEC is accredited from UKAS for ISO 17025 for Testing Laboratory, ISO 17065 for Product Certification and ISO 17021 for Management System Certification. The accreditation scope includes BS, EN, IEC standards such as BS 5467, BS 6724, BS EN 50525-2-31, BS EN 50525-3-41, BS EN 50525-2-11, BS 6231, BS 7629-1, BS 7846, BS 6622, BS 7835, BS 7870, IEC 60502-1, IEC 60502-2, IEC 60227 to name some key examples, plus several other international testing and design standards.
