BASEC Cable Quality Assurance Forum

On the 26th April BASEC Group Limited (BASEC), now part of Kiwa UK, held a Cable Quality Assurance Forum event at the House of Lords.

Attendees included a variety of stakeholders throughout the cable supply chain, from cable manufacturers to electrical product stockists and distributors, designers, specifiers, contractors, end users and professional bodies. The forum gave the opportunity to discuss pivotal challenges impacting the cable value chain, covering topics such as Regulations and Standards, Quality Assurance and Certification, Supply Chain, Fire Performance, Training and Education.

As a principal output of the forum event, BASEC will be producing a report providing key insights around the challenges currently faced in the industry and opportunities to support greater quality assurance within the cable value chain, and the industry’s response to the government’s recent report on Testing for a Safer Future.

We will provide further updates when the report is due to be released.
