BASEC announce new senior leadership following Kiwa UK acquisition
Following the successful acquisition of BASEC Group Limited by Kiwa UK in April 2023, we are delighted to announce the appointment Paul Munday as BASEC’s Business Unit Manager as of 1st November 2023.
Paul joined the company in April as Head of Business Development and is now responsible for leading the wider business, driving it forward and integrating BASEC further into the Kiwa family.
Paul brings over 16 years of experience within the Testing, Inspection and Certification industry, having held previous leadership roles at the British Standards Institute (BSI), Lloyd’s Register and BRCGS. He will work closely with Jon McGregor, RF and Electrical Cluster Director at Kiwa as well as the BASEC senior management team. Within the newly formed Cluster, BASEC sits alongside Kiwa Product Compliance and Kiwa Electrical Compliance.

Further enhancements to the organisation include the promotion of Joanne Griffin to Head of Operations UK and Jaya Kadachi to Head of Operations MENA. Providing Operational leadership to the BASEC Group Laboratory Teams, Joanne and Jaya will help to ensure robust customer focussed operational outcomes.
Kiwa UK has also appointed Laura Jeffry to the position of HR Business Partner for the RF and Electrical Cluster, formerly HR Manager at BASEC, having joined in 2021 and will be an integral part of the Cluster Leadership Team.
