BASEC LAUNCH A NEW MV GUIDE AT ENERGYx2022 SOUTH

The ENERGYx2022 South conference and exhibition brought together those at the cutting edge of achieving Net Zero whilst maintaining a safe and reliable energy network. The conference featured senior figures from the energy industry - distribution network operators (DNOs), suppliers, Ofgem and Government and included a presentation by BASEC on the Standards for MV power distribution cables and requirements for higher cable performance and quality assurance.

The event also featured the launch of BASEC’s new guide for MV power distribution cables (free to download), which is designed to inform industry stakeholders of the range of standards and product approval process for MV cables (up to 33kV). The aim is to reach designers, specifiers, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, operators, and others to highlight some of the specific enhanced performance requirements for MV cables for power distribution and help ease climate change impacts. Plans are already underway for BASEC to support the next event, ENERGYx2022 North, at Chester Racecourse on 21 September 2022.
