Cable is central in connecting us all to power and communications networks.

In a world where connectivity is key, almost every industry is filled with cable products acting together, and in complimentary ways in order to keep your operations up and running.

To evidence that cable manufacturers have undertaken rigorous auditing, inspection and independent testing to obtain product and systems certifications through BASEC, they are issued with a suite of certificates. Every approved company and product is also publicly listed on the BASEC website to reinforce the validity of their certification.

As we adapt and grow as a Notified Body, we are continually reviewing our processes and documentation to better support our customers. In 2019 we are injecting a fresher look into the way we do things, and our certificates are first on the agenda.

All certificates from Monday 4^th March 2019 will be issued in the new style. Certificates issued before this date and within expiry dates will still be valid, updates to the new style will be made on re-certification and renewal dates.

We understand that when you are tendering for commercial opportunities these certificates are centrally to supporting and expediting your applications. Therefore, this news serves to communicate minimal disruption to your certificates’ validity going forward.
