Approvals available online
As part of its increasing range of web-based information services, BASEC is making all its certificates for product approvals available to view and download from its website. This means that distributors, wholesalers, installers and end users can check that a cable certification is valid, and manufacturers can point to the site for verification of certification for their products. Scheme takes off
The Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA) says more than 500 of its member firms have registered under the ECA's recently launched TrustMark scheme within its first month as scheme operator. Experts get steamed upDelegates of the International Electrotechnical Commission - the international standards and conformity assessment body for all fields of electrotechnology - were guests of the British Cables Association (BCA) and the BASEC when they visited the historic Kew Bridge Steam Museum, London, as part of a week-long stay in Britain.
