Renouncement of Certification
Any voluntary renouncement of certification by a manufacturer will be listed here. When a manufacturer voluntarily renounces their certification the relevant entry or entries in the main BASEC listing are removed, together with downloadable copies of certificates. The purpose of listing voluntary renouncement of certification here is so that BASEC Approved product from the manufacturer still in the supply chain can be identified as BASEC Approved, providing the cable was produced prior to the date of the License being voluntarily renounced stated below. Copies of relevant surrendered product certificates are available from BASEC on request.
Syrian Modern Cables, Damascus, Syria. Previous certifications held: (1) flexible cables: BS 6500 Table 27; (2) building wire: BS 6004 Tables 4a and 4b; (3) PVC armoured cables: BS 5467 Tables 4, 6, 8 and 10. License voluntarily renounced on 3rd April 2012.
Shakun Polymers, Daman, India. Previous certifications held: (1) instrument wire: BS 6231 Table 2; (2) LSHF building wire: BS 7211 Table 3a; (3) screened fire performance cable: BS 7629-1 Table 1. License voluntarily renounced on 11th June 2012.
